The Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a resolution on accession of Uzbekistan to the agreement on 25 June 2010.

At the same time, the resolution said Uzbekistan joined the agreement with reservation that it did not undertake obligations on clauses, stated at section two of article 11 of the agreement. This section regulates arbitration issues.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan was entrusted to send notification to the Secretariat of the UN on accession of Uzbekistan to this international agreement.

In line with the resolution, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Italy was appointed as the Governor and deputy agriculture minister as deputy governor in the Governors’ Council of International Fund for Agriculture Development from Uzbekistan.
