Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is recognized as the best chess country in 2022, First Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports, Chairman of the country’s Chess Federation Alisher Sadullayev announced this.

According to him, the huge successes achieved by our country in this sport in the last sports season are deservedly recognized by the world chess community. After the prestigious starts of Tata Steel Chess-2023, which ended the day before in the Netherlands, our compatriots Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindorov received the Tour d’or prize - the Golden Tower, which is traditionally awarded to the best chess country of the year. 

This prize of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan was presented by the famous French grandmaster Bashar Kuatli.
