Uzbekistan is expanding cooperation with Turkiye in the leather and footwear industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Istanbul hosts the international exhibition AYSAF, one of the world’s largest professional exhibitions for the leather and footwear industry. The Uzcharmsanoat Association and its member enterprises are actively participating in this exhibition event in order to study international experience, apply the latest trends in our domestic industry, and also search for new partners.

The International Footwear Industry Exhibition - AYSAF, organized by the Association of Shoe Manufacturers and Industries (AYSAD) and Artkim Fairs, offers an ideal platform to cater to the industry’s needs in shoe sole systems, leather, artificial leather, textiles, EVA, metal and plastic accessories, chemicals , adhesives, machines, equipment and production technologies. This exhibition is an important link between manufacturers and buyers.

During the visit to Turkiye, the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat association and entrepreneurs also held a meeting with the Turkish Footwear Industry Association - TAŞEV.

TAŞEV is engaged in training qualified personnel for the Turkish leather and footwear industry. The Uzcharmsanoat Association has established close cooperation with this organization in order to provide qualified technologists and designers to the leather and footwear enterprises of our country. Agreements were reached on training and advanced training of Uzbek specialists based on the standards of the Turkish leather industry, and the development of joint educational programs.

The issue of bilateral cooperation in exhibition activities was discussed with the head of the Shoemakers Council and the Turkish Footwear Industry Association.

As part of the AYSAF exhibition, representatives of the Association held negotiations with a number of foreign companies. In particular, at a meeting with a representative of the Italian company Newlast, which produces shoe lasts, an exchange of ideas took place on establishing close cooperation with enterprises in the leather industry of our country and implementing investment projects in the future. The company also offers cooperation with companies in the field of shoe design.

Representatives of the company expressed a desire to visit our country in the near future and hold negotiations on establishing cooperation with Uzbek enterprises.

Enterprises continue to participate in various master classes, presentations and seminars within the framework of the exhibition and get acquainted with the trends of the coming year. Negotiations are also underway with large enterprises producing equipment for the industry. The AYSAF exhibition will continue to operate until 18 November.
