Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is developing cooperation with Spain in the field of international air cargo transportation, Dunyo news agency reports.

Uzbekistan’s fast-growing private airline MYFREIGHTER has signed an interline agreement with Spanish airline Air Europa, which will give the company access to eight new destinations, including Panama City, Cancun, Dominican Republic, Punta Cana, Colombia, Miami, New York and Sao Paulo.

In turn, Air Europa will have access to Tashkent as a hub for MYFREIGHTER and Central Asia flights.

Chairman of “MYFREIGHTER” Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov said that partnership with Air Europa opened doors for us to North and South America. With such a partner, we will cross previously closed oceans and open new horizons. We are interested in creating a leading player in the air cargo market and, thanks to mutually beneficial partnerships, we will be able to achieve this goal even faster.

General Manager of Air Europa Cargo Jordi Pique noted: “We are very pleased with the agreement reached. Thanks to our strategic location in the Madrid-Barajas hub, we will be able to expand the geography of air cargo transportation from Asia to the Americas.”

The signing of an agreement between Air Europa Cargo and MYFREIGHTER is an important step towards the integration of logistics systems in Europe and Central Asia, thanks to which a significant increase in the volume of cargo transported between the two regions can be expected in the coming years.
