Uzbekistan is becoming more attractive among Russian tourists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As we previously reported, according to Tutu.ru studies, from January 2018 to the end of September 2019, there was an increase in the number of Russian tourists arriving in Uzbekistan and that our country ranks first among the most popular for the purchase of airline tickets by Russians for the second year in a row directions.

The news about the increase in the tourist flow is widely covered in the Russian media. Over the October-November months of this year, this was published in more than 70 Russian online publications.

For example, according to the website Votpusk.ru, in 2019, Russian tourists began to actively lay a route towards the Central Asian part of the Silk Road - to Uzbekistan. First of all, they are attracted by the image of an Eastern fairy tale, colorful culture, ancient monuments, 209 of which are composed of four museum cities: Ichan Kala in the city of Khiva, the Historical Center of Bukhara, the Historical Center of Shakhrisabz and the City of Samarkand "included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as the famous national Uzbek cuisine and affordable stay.

Also on the website Travelinform.ru, it is stated that, according to Igor Sivts, deputy director for business development of the travel service Tutu.ru, travelers choose Uzbekistan not only because of the cultural advantages of the country, but also because this direction is convenient and profitable. On November 19, a press conference "All experts recommend Uzbekistan for travel" was held in Moscow. The organizer was the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic, the partner was the online search engine for airline tickets Aviasales. It was attended by many representatives of the media.

According to Janis Dzenis, PR Director of Aviasales - “Uzbekistan is becoming a popular tourist destination. Those who have already visited the republic are advised to visit their friends here. ” He also cites that Uzbekistan came out on top in terms of growth rates among other areas in Russia in 2019 - plus 93%. In second place - Denpasar (Bali), in third - Colombo (Sri Lanka), in fourth - Malta. Aviasales note that flights to the most popular destinations (Tashkent, Samarkand) from Russia cost an average of 13,500 rubles (2,075,000 soums) in both directions, which is quite advantageous in comparison with other popular destinations - Europe or Georgia. Demand for passengers from Russia to Bukhara, Namangan and Ferghana doubled, and the average flight cost was 12,000 rubles (1,845,000 soums), which is 10% less than in 2018. The media also notes the state’s plans to develop tourism in the coming years.

Turprom writes about this in its article - “Uzbekistan is carefully preparing to receive guests, the number of which, according to officially announced plans, will reach more than 10 million people by 2022. In order to create the most comfortable conditions for tourists, in 2019 a program was launched to develop the tourism sector in 2019-2025. ”

Russian bloggers also share opinions about our country: Yulia Darkova - “I am pleased to talk about my acquaintance with this country and talk about the safety of visiting it. Indeed, until now, many do not dare to go to Central Asia, believing that it is unsafe there. About Uzbekistan, be calm - it takes 5th place in the world in terms of security of stay in the country. And it is felt at every step. " Marina Lvova - “Yesterday morning began with a participation in a press conference and a presentation of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan. A lot of things pleased me: the policy of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, active and in line with modern trends in the tourism market, ideas innovative and working on tourism development, state support for the tourism industry in the country, measures to attract investment in the construction of hotel infrastructure, and, of course, a place holding a press conference - the restaurant "Uzbekistan", the spicy taste of samsa and four types of unlike each other Uzbek pilaf. ”

As a result of the reforms carried out by the President of the country Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the field of tourism, the Government of the country is carrying out large-scale work to develop this area. For example, the establishment of a 30-day visa-free regime for citizens from 65 countries and the introduction of a simplified system of electronic visas for citizens of 77 countries increase the attractiveness of our country for travelers, and the construction of modern facilities such as Amirsoy help to eliminate the concept of seasonality.
