Uzbekistan is a raw material hub of Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a meeting with representatives of the Eco Meat Association of Meat Producers and Processors of the Kyrgyz Republic. The main topic of discussion is the establishment of supplies of cattle skins to Uzbekistan.

The topic for Uzbekistan, which claims to be the raw materials hub of Central Asia, is very relevant. As noted at the meeting, our country has large capacities for processing skins. More than 30 leather processing enterprises operate in the republic, and produce 1.641 billion sq. dm. of skin. The country has huge production reserves and today also buys cattle skins from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan for complete processing and production of finished leather and semi-finished leather products, further export to the CIS. Kyrgyzstan is also interested in the supply of skins.

Cooperation is expected in several directions at once. First, the supply of skins from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. To do this, the partner side proceeded to study our national and international requirements for the skins supplied.

Second, Uzbekistan can help equip the slaughterhouses of the partner country with advanced automated equipment, the production of which is also established and meets foreign quality standards. For this purpose, representatives of the plant of Uzbekistan for the production and turnkey equipment of activated slaughter enterprises were organized to participate in the meeting.

The third direction for cooperation is the creation of cooperative ties between the profile associations of the two countries, which will include a range of issues, including the establishment of export-import operations, the creation of joint projects and the exchange of experience in the development of the leather and footwear industry.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize business tours to Kyrgyzstan for a detailed study of each of the areas of cooperation.
