Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 June 2024, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloyev held a meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Bagheri.

Bahromjon Aloyev arrived in Tehran to participate in the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in various fields.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic cooperation, including intensifying links between the regions of the two countries.

The discussions also focused on the implementation of interregional transport and logistics projects aimed at increasing mutual trade turnover and enhancing trade and economic ties.

The importance of developing partnership in cultural, humanitarian, and tourism spheres was emphasized.

Furthermore, opinions were exchanged on various aspects of the international and regional agenda, including the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue.
