Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree introducing additional support measures for livestock and poultry farming aimed at increasing added value in the sector.
The decree outlines forecast indicators for 2025, including production volumes of meat and milk, poultry and egg output, as well as employment levels in regions under poultry farming cooperation and the export volumes of the industry.
Starting from 1 April 2025, until 1 January 2028, a mechanism will be introduced for the refund of 50% of the VAT paid to the state budget for agricultural and poultry enterprises. Payments will be made monthly, starting from the 25th of each month.
As part of the cooperation in meat and egg poultry farming, a project called "Poultry Farming – Path to Income" will be implemented, which is expected to provide jobs for one million people.
For pedigree farms, the extension of tax benefits is granted, including reduced income tax, property tax, land tax, and water use tax rates. These benefits will remain in effect until 1 January 2028.
