Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan has introduced the ATM Safe Sky system, designed to facilitate flight planning and monitor the movement of drones within the country’s airspace.
The innovative system was unveiled by the “UzAeronavigation” center. It is one of the first of its kind in the region, aimed at preventing collisions and ensuring flight safety amid the growing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in both commercial and governmental sectors.
The ATM Safe Sky program is available for installation on personal computers and mobile devices operating on iOS and Android. Authorized users can access real-time information on scheduled flights.
Future plans for the system include implementing drone tracking features and enabling flight application submissions through the mobile app.
The “UzAeronavigation” center reminded the public that drone operations in Uzbekistan are only permitted with a license, as stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution from 15 November 2022.
