Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 12 July and Senate approved it on 30 August 2012. The law came into force on 12 September 2012.

It will be awarded to military personnel and other citizens of Uzbekistan, who protect and serve for Motherland, as well as for courage and bravery.

In exceptional cases, Mardlik order can be awarded to persons, who are not citizens of Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan will award “Mardlik” order. The persons, who were awarded with Mardlik order, will receive one time money award, equal to 15 sizes of minimal salary. They will also receive preferences, envisaged by legislation.
