Uzbekistan increases sowing of oil-yielding crops
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is increasing fields, allocated to sowing oil-yielding crops, forage crops, melons and gourds, UzA reported.

The report said that Uzbekistan allocated 32,000 hectares for sowing of sunflowers and 55,000 hectares for sowing of safflowers.

This year, Uzbekistan allocated 60,000 hectares for sowing of safflowers, over 20,000 hectares for sowing of sunflowers, as well as 10,000 hectares for sowing of soya-beans.

The report said that it is planned to receive 70,500 tonnes of crop from these fields. In future, Uzbekistan plans to increase the size of allocated lands and quality of oil products.
