Uzbekistan increases pepper exports to 2,400 tons in two months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–February 2025, Uzbekistan exported 2,400 tons of pepper, marking an 80% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
The export volume in monetary terms reached US$1.8 million. Kazakhstan became the largest importer of Uzbek pepper, accounting for 1,400 tons of the total.
Kyrgyzstan and Spain also ranked among the top three buyers, importing 390 and 242 tons respectively during the first two months of the year.
