Uzbekistan increases minimum prices for alcohol products
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan set new prices of wholesale and retail prices to alcohol products, excluding beer, from 1 January 2013.

Ministry of Finance and State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On reviewing minimum wholesale and retail prices to alcohol products”.

According to the resolution, the alcohol product producers should sell wine at the price of 2,750 soums per liter from 1 January 2013. The earlier price was 2,200 soums.

The minimum wholesale price for cognac, vodka and other alcohol products grew from 5,000 soums to 6,250 soums per liter.

The minimum retail price for a liter of wine set at 3,500 soums (earlier 2,700 soums), cognac, vodka and other alcohol – 7,600 soums (6,100 soums).

The alcohol producers will be fined for violation of this norm. The size of fine was set at the volume of 20% of the cost of realized products, but it should not be lower than 200-minimum size of salary.

In case of repeat of violation within a year, the fine will increase to 50% of the cost of realized product, but not lower than 300-minimum size of salary.
