Uzbekistan increases duty rates for transit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan increased the rates of the additional duty for entry and transit, which is collected to each foreign vehicle, crossing the state border of Uzbekistan with Tajikistan.

In line with the governmental resolution, the duty rate for trucks and buses from Tajikistan grew from US$50 to US$90.

Duty rates for trucks from Turkkmenistan with load capacity of up to 10 tonnes was set at US$35 (earlier US$20) and trucks with load capacity 10 tonnes and higher – US$55 (US$30).

For buses with less than 12 seats, the duty rose from US$20 to US$35 and those with 12 seats and more grew from US$30 to US$55.

Uzbekistan also increased duty rate for trucks and buses from other foreign states from US$100 to US$175. Additional duty is not applied to vehicle of other countries, with which Uzbekistan has international agreements, envisaging non-use of duties and payments for use of roads.

Additional duty is levied for entry and transit of each foreign vehicle. Duty is paid in hard currency and border post. The collected duty transferred to Road Fund under Finance Ministry of Uzbekistan.
