Uzbekistan improves the health care system for children

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Decree of the President "On amendments and additions to some acts of the President in connection with the determination of additional measures for the systematic organization of recreation and further improvement of work on the improvement of children" was adopted.

To establish the activities of children’s health camps on the basis of a unified system, improve their financial condition and expand the scale of attracting children to camps, 65 children’s camps were transferred to the system of the Federation of Trade Unions. 

A list of 35 children’s camps located in the system of other organizations was approved, providing for a ban on the implementation or change in the type of their activities, a Republican Commission on the Systematic Organization of Recreation and Rehabilitation of Children was created.

In order to provide comprehensive support and create the necessary conditions for the effective operation of children’s camps, amendments and additions are made to some acts of the President, envisaging:

harmonization of legislative acts in connection with the transfer of some children’s camps to the balance of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, as well as the imposition of a ban on the implementation or change in the type of activity of some of them;

the creation of the Republican Commission on the Systematic Organization of Recreation and Rehabilitation of Children on the basis of the Coordinating Group to ensure systemic control and monitoring of the development and implementation of measures for the organization of recreation and rehabilitation of children;

creating favorable conditions for active recreation of children during the holidays, strengthening social protection and financial improvement of children’s camps.

It should be recalled that in accordance with the Tax Code:

turnovers from the sale of sanatorium and health-improving services, as well as physical education and sports services provided by budgetary organizations, are not subject to VAT;

lands occupied by sports and fitness complexes, educational and training bases and children’s health camps are not subject to land tax;

objects used by non-commercial organizations in the framework of non-commercial activities are not subject to property taxation.
