Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  In the first eight months of this year, Uzbekistan imported nearly 2.6 million mobile phones, according to the State Statistics Committee.

Preliminary data indicates that from January to August 2024, the total import value of mobile phones reached approximately US$236.2 million.

Compared to the same period last year, imports increased by 318,579 units.

During this period, Uzbekistan imported 2.1 million mobile phones from China and 405,500 from Vietnam.

Additionally, 70,300 phones were brought in from India, 27,100 from Hong Kong, and 3,400 from the United Arab Emirates.
