Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting with representatives of the EPIS organization from the Republic of Korea was held at the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of the National Center Gafurjon Eshmatov, Director of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Agricultural Personnel Bahodir Eshchanov, and Chief Manager of EPIS Lee Kang Oh.

The discussions focused on the completion of the K-Farm project, the development of infrastructure, and communication aspects.

For reference, K-Farm (Korea Farm) is an innovative agricultural project initiated by the Republic of Korea, aimed at establishing automated farming systems based on advanced technologies. The initiative includes the introduction of smart farming technologies, resource-efficient methods, and the training of qualified personnel.

In collaboration with the Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan is developing a modern nursery center as part of this project. The initiative aims to improve agricultural efficiency and cultivate high-quality, environmentally friendly seedlings.

Additionally, the project discussions covered financial resource allocation, transparency measures, and the establishment of special accounts to support operations. By 2026, the necessary specialists will be appointed to oversee and launch K-Farm under the auspices of the National Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS).
