Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – 4 September is widely celebrated as World Taekwondo Day in our country. On 4 September, a large flash mob was held on the square of the Taekwondo WT Association of Uzbekistan with the participation of more than a thousand young martial artists.

In the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the further development of the sport of taekwondo (WT)” from 29 July 2022, a number of promising tasks were identified in our country. In particular, in order to increase the propaganda of this discipline, it was noted that World Taekwondo Day is celebrated in our country every year on 4 September. 

The event that took place can be viewed as the practical implementation of the tasks set in this resolution. During the event, the employees of the Association, as well as the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion taekwondo athlete Ulugbek Rashitov, emphasized that with the support of the President, this sport is growing in our country from year to year. After that, a flash mob was launched, in which all the participants participated.

It should be noted that this project was created not only in the capital. Similar events were held in all regions of our republic.
