Uzbekistan holds 80th place in E-Government rating
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan took the 80th place in the rating of the countries of the world on the level of E-Government development, according to United Nations E-Government Survey.

The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) publishes the report each two years. The report assess state of development of the e-government in the government of the world.

According to report, published on 30 July, Uzbekistan moved by 20 positions compared to 2014 report. Uzbekistan was one of ten countries, which significantly improved functioning of the E-Government.

Uzbekistan moved to the group of countries with high index of E-Government development from middle index countries.

E-Government Development Index (EGDI) of Uzbekistan made up 0.5434. EGDI is formed based on sub-indexes: online service index (Uzbekistan’s index - 0.6884), telecommunication infrastructure index (0.2463) and human capital index (0.6954).

E-Participation Index (EPART) of Uzbekistan was 0.6780. In the result, Uzbekistan moved from 71 to 47 places. Uzbekistan holds the first place among the Central Asian index in EPART.

Great Britain topped new rating, bypassing South Korea, which slipped to third place now. Australia kept the second place.
