Uzbekistan Havo Yollari to increases prices for internal flights
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, will increase ticket prices for internal flights, the press service of the company said.
The Uzbek national airline said that it will hike prices for internal flights by 20% starting from 1 June 2011.
At the same time, the airline did not explain reasons behind the move. However, the growth of prices for aircraft fuel, which have grown by 40% since 2011 beginning, could push the airline to increase prices to flights.
Uzbekistan Airways was founded on 28 January 1992. The airline is currently operating scheduled flights to more than 40 cities of the world, including America, Europe, Middle East, South East, Central Asia and CIS.
According to Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, it has about 200 aircrafts and helicopters, including such aircrafts as Boeing 767-300ER, Boeing -757-200, Аirbus-310, RJ-85, and IL-114-100. He added that Uzbekistan received the first Airbus-320 aircrafts and its number will reach 10 in 2011.
