Uzbekistan Havo Yollari cut prices of tickets to Europe
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) national airline of Uzbekistan will cut price of airplane tickets for several flights to Europe. The cut in prices will start from 10 December 2008.

The prices of return tickets will be cut for flights from Tashkent to Paris, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, Geneva and London.

The new prices of return tickets to Europe are being determined by the management of the company at the moment. On average, the cost of tickets will be reduced by 15%-20%. The press service of the company did not reveal reason for price cut in tickets.

Uzbekistan Havo Yollari is a monopoly operator of national air carrier which carries out flights to 45 cities across the world. The company conveyed over 1.156 million passengers and 4,700 tons of cargo over nine months of 2008. The growth in passenger and cargo conveyance made up 17% and 6% respectively.

In 2009, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari plans to join Sky Team international aviation alliance. The Alliance includes largest airway companies and controls 35% of market of passenger ad cargo conveyance on all continents.

Under program of updating stock of aircrafts, the company will purchase eight more aircrafts with the support of the government with four of them being Boeing-767-300ER and four А-320-200 . The delivery is expected to take place in 2013-2014.
