Uzbekistan gets US$2.052bn of remittances from Russia in 3Q
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total volume of remittances between Uzbekistan and Russia made up US$2.227 billion in the third quarter of 2014, which fell by 7.56% year-on-year, the Central Bank of Russia said.

According to data of the Central Bank, the volume of remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan reached US$2.052 billion in the third half of 2014 against US$2.258 billion in the same period of 2013 (-9.13%).

The average transaction sum of the remittances from Russia to Uzbekistan was US$648 in the third quarter of 2014 against US$653 in the same period of 2013 (-0.77%).

The volume of remittances from Uzbekistan to Russia rose from US$151 million in the third quarter 2013 to US$176 million in the same period of 2014. The growth made up 16.55%.

According to the Central Bank of Russia, average sum of one transaction from Uzbekistan to Russia fell from US$2,065 to US$2,058 in the reporting period.

In the first two quarters of 2014, Uzbekistan received US$2.54 billion of remittances from Russia.

The Central Bank of Russia monitors such money transfer systems as Anelik, BLIZKO, Coinstar Money Transfer, Contact, InterExpress, Migom, MoneyGram, PrivatMoney, UNIStream, Western Union, Aziya Express, ALLYUR, Blitz, Bystraya Pochta, Zolotaya Korona and LIDER, as well as Pochta Rossii.
