Uzbekistan-Georgia Business Council holds meeting
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 February, a meeting of the Uzbekistan-Georgia Business Council was held via videoconference under the co-chairmanship of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of both countries.
Established on 18 July 2023, in Tbilisi, the Business Council is aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties, supporting entrepreneurs, and facilitating the implementation of joint investment projects.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation for 2025 were discussed, including the creation of favorable conditions for business, the organization of business missions, and the development of new joint initiatives. As a result of the negotiations, important agreements were reached.
The parties agreed to organize a visit of a Georgian business delegation to Uzbekistan in May 2025 under the auspices of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This visit will include the next Business Council meeting, a joint business forum, and B2B meetings.
In June 2025, at the initiative of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a group of Uzbek entrepreneurs will travel to Georgia, where Tbilisi will host the Made in Uzbekistan exhibition.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the establishment of a showroom and warehouse in Tbilisi Dry Port to showcase and distribute Uzbek products, including electrical equipment, construction materials, agricultural products, and furniture.
