Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January 2025, electricity production in Uzbekistan declined by 4.27% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 7.25 billion kWh, according to data from the Statistics Agency.

Large enterprises in the country produced 5.79 billion kWh in the first month of 2025, reflecting an 18% decrease year-on-year.

Meanwhile, small businesses showed significant growth, more than doubling their electricity production from 515.3 million kWh in January 2024 to 1.46 billion kWh in January 2025.

In contrast, thermal energy production in the country saw a substantial increase of 46.4%, reaching 4.21 million Gcal.
