Uzbekistan-France foreign trade turnover increases by 13.6%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, the volume of foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France reached US$1.1 billion in 2024, marking a 13.6% increase compared to 2023. The growth amounted to US$135.9 million, reflecting the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.
Uzbekistan’s exports to France totaled US$795.1 million, while imports from France to Uzbekistan reached US$336.2 million.
Uzbekistan’s primary exports to France included chemicals and related products, which accounted for US$773.3 million or 97.3% of total exports. Additionally, services contributed US$7.9 million, and various manufactured goods amounted to US$4.2 million.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s main imports from France consisted of chemicals and related products worth US$161.8 million, representing 48.1% of total imports. Machinery and transport equipment accounted for US$89.4 million, while food products and live animals made up US$46.6 million.
The increase in foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and France highlights the successful development of bilateral economic relations. Uzbekistan’s export structure is dominated by chemical products, forming the foundation of trade cooperation. At the same time, imports from France include high-tech equipment and food products, contributing to the development of Uzbekistan’s industrial and consumer sectors.
The strengthening of trade relations between Uzbekistan and France opens new opportunities for cooperation across various economic sectors. Trade volumes are expected to continue growing in the coming years, fostering further economic progress for both countries.
