The UFF said over 155 journalists participated at the voting. Pakhtakor’s Odil Ahmedov was named the best players of the year, while Almalyk’s Igor Shkvirin became the best coach of 2009.

Ravshan Ermatov was acknowledged at the best referee for the second time in two years. Rivaldo was named the best goal scorer of the Uzbek Premier League in 2009.

Striker Timur Hakimov of Uzbekistan U-16 was voted as the best young player and Alexei Evstafeev of Uzbekistan U-16 as the best youth coach.

Uzbekistan champions Bunyodkor received the Fair Play prize.
