Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national football team will compete in Group “A” within the third round of qualification for the 2026 World Cup in Asia.

On 27 June, the draw for the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup took place in Malaysia.

Group A, together with the Uzbekistan team, includs teams from Iran, Qatar, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan and the DPRK.

Group B included the teams of South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Palestine and Kuwait.

Group C includes teams from Japan, Australia, Bahrain, China, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

The teams that take 1st and 2nd places in their groups will directly receive tickets to the World Cup. The teams that took 3rd and 4th places will continue to fight for spots in the next stage.
