Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From January to October 2024, Uzbekistan exported gold worth US$6.62 billion, according to the Agency for Statistics.
Gold exports during this period decreased by 3.5% compared to the same timeframe in 2023.
As of the first ten months of 2024, gold accounted for 29.5% of Uzbekistan’s total exports, down from 33.6% in the previous year.
The country’s foreign trade turnover for January–October 2024 reached US$54.4 billion, marking an increase of US$3.4 billion, or 6.7%, compared to the same period in 2023.
Of the total trade volume, exports amounted to US$22.44 billion, showing a growth of 9.6% year-on-year, while imports totaled US$31.92 billion, an increase of 4.7%.
As a result, the trade balance remained negative at US$9.48 billion.
