Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In June 2023, Uzbekistan exported natural gas to China in the amount of more than US$85 million, the General Administration of Customs of China reports.

In January-June 2023, Uzbekistan exported natural gas to China in the amount of US$203.9 million, which is two times less compared to the same period in 2022.

According to the results of the first half of the year, Uzbekistan became one of the five main gas suppliers to China after Turkmenistan (US$5.06 billion), Russia (US$3.98 billion), Myanmar (US$737.9 million) and Kazakhstan (US$448.7 million).

The monthly dynamics of gas exports from Uzbekistan to China continues to increase. Compared to May, the volume of monthly exports in monetary terms increased by almost 9% or US$7.14 million.

At the same time, according to the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan, since the beginning of 2023, Uzbekistan has exported natural gas for US$278.4 million, which is a third less than the corresponding figure for last year.
