Uzbekistan expects 2m foreign tourists

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is planning to increase number of arriving foreign tourists up to 2 million people a year in near future.

It is expected that the volume of serving internal, outbound and inbound tourism in 2010 will reach 965,700 people. This year, Uzbekistan expects 800,000 foreign tourists.

Currently, over 750,000 companies possess licenses for tourism activity in Uzbekistan. There are also over 270 hotels with total 7,300 rooms, which can accept up to 12,800 guests simultaneously.
