Uzbekistan national football team closed the season with the goalless draw against European-side Estonia in Tashkent friendly match on Wednesday, 21 November.
Rauf Inileev, head coach of Uzbekistan and one of the candidates to win The AFC Coach of Year Award, did not call first-choice players to give them some rest.
The both sides had good chances to score, but they failed to convert chances to goals. While referee disallowed the second-half goal of Ulugbek Bakaev referring to offside.
Viggo Yensen, head coach of Estonia, said the match was tough and we had struggle in the first half. Uzbekistan’s players played faster and were confident. He added Estonians showed good football in the second half.
In his turn, Rauf Inileev said the match allowed to examine several new players and the Estonian side played much better in "the second floor". He added that the match will be useful for Uzbekistan before coming official matches.
