Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué on the beginning of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Djibouti took place in New York. This was reported by Dunyo news agency.

The agreement was signed by the permanent representatives of the two countries to the UN: from Uzbekistan - Ulugbek Lapasov, from Djibouti - Mohamed Dualeh.

During the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to develop interaction in the context of international organizations, including the UN and its agencies.

Plans to intensify bilateral cooperation in various fields were also discussed.
