Uzbekistan Discusses Geological Exploration Cooperation with ITOCHU and JOGMEC
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan has held talks with representatives of Japanese companies ITOCHU and Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC). The Uzbek delegation was led by Minister Bobir Islamov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation in geological exploration and mineral extraction.
The strategic importance of the partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan in the mining sector was emphasized, along with the need for further strengthening bilateral relations.
The Japanese companies presented proposals to accelerate the implementation of ongoing projects in Uzbekistan and to introduce modern technologies into geological exploration work.
Special attention was given to opportunities for investment in the sector and improving the efficiency of exploration and prospecting processes.
Following the talks, the parties expressed interest in further expanding cooperation and continuing joint work on promising initiatives in the mining industry.
