Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, the Iranian city of Mashhad hosted a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (COM) of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
The Uzbek delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bobur Usmanov.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations discussed preparations for the upcoming ECO Summit, scheduled for 2025 in Azerbaijan. The participants also exchanged views on strengthening cooperation within the framework of the organization.
The session concluded with the adoption of the Mashhad Communiqué.
From 1 January 2025, Kazakhstan will assume the ECO chairmanship for a one-year term, succeeding Iran.
