Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On organizational activities of for Supporting Olympians of Uzbekistan under the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan”.

The document said that General Assembly of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan adopted a decision on establishment of Fund for Supporting Olympians. The fund is a non-governmental organization.

General Assembly of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan also approved the charter capital of the Fund and elected structure of Trustee Council of the Fund.

Fund was created to ensure quality training and performance of athletes of Uzbekistan at Olympic and Paralympic Games. The fund will carry out charity activities. The resources of the Fund will be used to achieve its goals and tasks.

Resources of the Fund will be formed due to donations of republican federations and associations on Olympic sports, other organizations and individuals, resources of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, sport federations and associations, organizations, clubs, off-budget resources of local administrations.

The Fund can also attract grants and no-string aid of foreign countries, international organizations and financial institutions.

The Fund’s resources are used to finance reconstruction and equipment of sport halls and centers, support gifted athletes, organization of trainings for athletes, coaches and referees, participation at international competitions, etc.

The Fund will also cover expenses, related to attracting high-skilled coaches on Olympic sports to work with national teams, and others.
