New commission was created in line with the governmental resolution “On approval of regulation on single state system on forecasting, early detection and reaction to radiation accidents”.

The commission will coordinate interaction of state bodies, ministries and departments in creation and organization of activities of the single state system on forecasting, early detection and reaction to radiation accidents (SSRA).

According to the document, Uzbekistan will annually conduct drills in places on development of cooperation of forces and means of SSRA on liquidation of radiation accidents.

Forces of the Ministry of Defense can be attracted to these drills only with the decision of the President of Uzbekistan. Ministry of Emergency situations will conduct measures on eliminating and preventing radiation accidents.
