Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan continues negotiations on joining the EDB, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Nikolai Podguzov said.

According to him, Tashkent’s participation in the bank would be natural.

“I hope that given those key investment needs in the region as a whole, the presence of Uzbekistan in the bank is natural. Therefore, sooner or later, I hope this process will be completed sooner, and we will see Uzbekistan as a shareholder of the bank,” he said.

EDB is an international financial organization. Its participants are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
