It is expected that the construction of the post and its commission will take place in September 2010, the committee said.

The post has international status and it is one of the strategically important objects of Uzbekistan. Davut-Ata customs complex ensures border and customs control at international highway E-40.

The committee said the commissioning of the customs post will ensure proper control over entrance and exist of population, vehicles and trucks, moving along Great Silk Road highway (Andijan-Tashkent-Nukus-Kungrad-Beinau), which ensures exist to the CIS and European states.

The post will be located at 2 hectares. Currently, frame of control posts, boxes for examination of trucks, building for review and registration of trucks, dinner room for customs officials, and other have been constructed.
