Asad Yusuphodjaev, specialists of the department of foreign economic relations and attraction of investment of Uzbekneftegaz, said the company is considering projects on extracting alternative fuel.

Yusuphodjaev noted that last year the US became leader in the world on gas production, which was achieved due to gas extraction from oil shale.

Uzbekneftegaz official said that the company is reviewing the possibility of implementing project on extracting hydrocarbons from oil shale. H said the perspective reserves of oil shale in Uzbekistan makes up over 40 billion tonnes.
