Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association, together with its member enterprises, took part in the Conference on Cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the leather and footwear industry, held as part of the 26th China (Wenzhou) International exhibition of leather, shoe materials and shoe equipment 2022. The conference was organized jointly with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

This event, held in the format of a videoconference, first of all, opens up great opportunities for the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries, contributes to the strengthening of strategic cooperation and the wide attraction of investments from China to our country.

This event brings together all the major players in the leather and footwear industry and has acquired a huge scale in recent years. The event provides exhibitors and visitors not only with the opportunity to get acquainted with the entire production chain, but also to demonstrate the latest materials, technologies and equipment, as well as give a detailed overview of the main market trends.

In order to expand the export of Uzbek-made products to the markets of China, the Uzcharmsanoat Association and enterprises of Uzbekistan will take part in the 26th China International Exhibition of Leather, Shoe Materials and Shoe Equipment in Wenzhou. At the national stand with an area of 42 sq.m. visitors and participants of the exhibition will be presented with leather goods, shoes, samples of leather and other raw materials produced in our country.

During the online dialogue, the Uzcharmsanoat Association made a presentation on the production and investment potential, as well as export performance of the country’s leather, footwear and fur industries. Detailed information was also given on the conditions created in the country for foreign investors, tax and customs benefits provided by the state. At the meeting, they also spoke about the activities of leather, footwear and fur enterprises operating today in Uzbekistan, the types of products manufactured, the localization program and international cooperation.

During the conference, issues of further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the leather and footwear and fur industries, the development of trade, economic, investment and export ties were discussed.

At the meeting, a number of organizational and practical issues were also discussed to expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the leather and footwear, fur and fur sector.
