Uzbekistan carries out construction of asphaltic concrete pavements at 234.8 km of roads
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan executed works on construction of asphaltic concrete pavements at 234.8 km of motor roads in nine months of 2011, the joint statement of the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan and the State Property Committee of Uzbekistan said.

The material said that at objects on construction and reconstruction of roads of general use of international and state importance, including the Uzbek national road, works on construction of asphaltic concrete pavements at 234.8 km roads were executed and the works at 77.5 km road at A-380 Guzar-Nukus-Kungrad-Beinau and 46.4 km road at A-373 Tashkent-Osh were completed.

Uzbekistan commissioned two overpasses with extension of 69 meters, including at 4P87 road Guzar-Chim-Kukdala for 2 km in Kashkadarya region and at Gulistan-Ahangaran road for 109 km in Tashkent region.

In line with the targeted parameters of development of roadside infrastructure and services, some 34 objects of roadside infrastructure were launched at the Uzbek national road.

Within the programme “On speeding up development of infrastructure, transport and communication construction in 2011-2015”, Uzbekistan utilized capital investments for US$176.4 million in nine months of 2011.

The country rehabilitated 54 km of railroads and constructed 192 cargo and seven passenger wagons.
