Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting in 2025, Uzbekistan will cancel the excise tax on mobile communication services.
The corresponding changes have been made to the country's legislation.
Previously, the excise tax rate on mobile communication was set at 10%.
It should be noted that the excise tax was introduced in 2019 at a rate of 15%, with a reduction in the monthly fee for using a subscriber number to 2000 soums. In 2020, the rate was increased to 20%.
In 2021, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reduced the excise tax rate on mobile communication to 10%, and the possibility of fully abolishing the tax by 2023 was considered. However, this decision has not been implemented until now.
