The Business Activity Index made up 59.9 points in August 2011, or decreased by 1.8 points compared to July.

The forecast for September 2011 makes up 63.4 points, which says about optimistic mood of the businesses.

The committee stated instable world markets and temporizing policy of businesses are main reason for decreasing of the index.

The committee noted that current Business Activity Index means favourable trend as it is higher than 50 points and positive dynamic says about the growth of business activity.

Business Activity Index in industry sector (APIC 100) was developed in June 2010 and calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium businesses. The APIC 100 replaced the Index APIC 50 (based on survey of 50 enterprises).

The index is calculated based on 5 basic indicators, such as new orders, production volume and realization, employment and ready products at warehouse.
