Uzbekistan booth presented at the international festival of cultures in Germany

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Bonn City Hall annually organizes the International Festival of Cultures, which provides a wide platform for the German public to get acquainted with the culture and traditions of various peoples and ethnic groups.

This year the event brought together representatives of about 70 states, international, regional and national organizations. The event was attended by over 10 thousand people.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan has become a traditional participant in this intercultural forum. This year, the organizers of the national stand at the festival were the Consulate General of our country in Frankfurt am Main and the German-Uzbek Friendship Society in Bonn.

The national stand, decorated in a traditional style, presented the rich tourism potential of the republic and the culture of the Uzbek people. Visual information about architectural sights and historical monuments, national customs and traditions, tours to cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent, attracted widespread attention.

Visitors to the festival did not hide their admiration for the unique national traditions of applied art and the wide tourist opportunities of Uzbekistan.

“I am sure that today's event provided a good opportunity for the residents of our city to get information about the pearls of the Great Silk Road - the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva,” said Ursula Pfeifer, a teacher at a secondary school in Bonn, who recently visited Uzbekistan.

“I traveled to the countries of Central Asia and am delighted with the historical cities and architectural monuments of Uzbekistan,” said Alexander Bobich, a Croatian architect. - I realized that we have a lot to learn from Uzbekistan in the preservation and restoration of centuries-old buildings and structures. My first trip was as a tourist. But I hope that next time I will come to this beautiful country with a special mission - I’ll get to know the restoration school of the republic closer.
