Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan has blocked 30 websites that were promoting betting services, according to the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

The committee regularly conducts analysis of internet resources that promote gambling and high-risk entertainment. In this effort, the committee collaborates with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications to quickly respond to violations of advertising legislation.

Measures are also being taken to restrict access to websites disseminating betting advertisements.

As a result of this work, the Agency proposed blocking 42 web pages, of which around 30 have been blocked in accordance with the established procedure.

The Committee continues its systematic monitoring in this area.
