Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Tashkent, within the framework of the 2nd Uzbek-Belarusian Women’s Forum, a sectional meeting was held focused on developing cooperation in the light industry, particularly in the leather and textile sectors.
Participants discussed issues related to the implementation of investment projects and the expansion of export-import relations between the two countries.
Around 20 major Belarusian companies operating in the light industry attended the forum in Tashkent. Among them are well-known enterprises such as “Marko,” “BelVest,” and the Minsk Leather Producers Association.
The sectional meeting aimed to enhance interaction in the leather industry, stimulate joint investment projects, and facilitate the exchange of experiences between entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Belarus. Additionally, the launch of new joint educational programs was discussed.
During the forum, agreements and contracts totaling US$2.2 million were signed between businesswomen from the two countries, reflecting a commitment to further strengthening economic ties.
