Noting the fact that the business tour of the textile delegation of Uzbekistan to Spain and the first participation of large Uzbek enterprises at the TEXTILE EXPO BARCELONA exhibition in October 2022 aroused great interest among Spanish brands, retailers and companies, we can say with confidence that Uzbekistan is moving in the right direction to enter world markets and attract brands.

Holding a business forum together with the Spanish confederation of fashion manufacturers "Moda España" and the association of textile manufacturers of Spain FEDECON, meetings with "El Corte Ingles" and "Tendam", as well as B2B meetings between enterprises of Uzbekistan and Spain strengthened the intentions of the Spaniards to cooperate with Uzbek enterprises

This can be evidenced by the arrival of a large retailer Tendam in the Republic to establish cooperation in the supply of textiles to Spain.

During the meeting at the embassy, the parties discussed issues of investment, trade, economic, consulting cooperation between Spain and Uzbekistan in the textile and clothing and knitwear industry.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of an effective marketing campaign to raise awareness of domestic textile products in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus), the organization of a permanent representative office of the Uztekstilprom Association in Spain, expanding cooperation with European brands such as El Corte Ingles, MANGO, Tendam, Uterque, Santander, etc. with further organization of visits to the leading enterprises of Uzbekistan.
