Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to hold joint military exercises on the territory of Kazakhstan in July 2024.

The defense ministers of these countries gathered on 4 April in Aktau for a meeting on the planning of a command post exercise called Birlestik-2024 (Union-2024) and signed a corresponding joint plan.

It is expected that large-scale exercises will be held in the territories of the Oymasha training ground and Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea.

The meeting discussed preparations for the exercises and the tasks to be performed.
