Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 October, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of social protection was signed between the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This memorandum is aimed at creating and developing mutually beneficial bilateral relations between the two states on the digitalization of public services in the field of social protection, organizing the provision of social services to persons in difficult life situations, at home (mobile) and in semi-stationary forms, organizing social protection of persons with disabilities.

The parties also agreed to cooperate through the implementation of joint initiatives in a number of areas, such as the organization and expansion of social services for socially disadvantaged groups, the provision of services by individuals and legal entities, and the organization of the activities of social workers.
