Uzbekistan attracts US$2.9bn loans from South Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan attracted preferential credit resources for US$2.9 billion from South Korea to finance projects within the programmes on modernization and diversification of industry and development of infrastructure.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan and South Korea signed seven agreements on attracting preferential loans of South Korea within the financial cooperation sphere.

Within the six agreements, Uzbekistan attracted soft loans of South Korean banks for US$2.9 billion to finance projects within the programmes on modernization and diversification of industry and development of infrastructure.

In March 2015, Uzbekistan adopted a programme of measures on ensuring structural reforms, modernization and diversification of production for 2015-2019, which envisages realization of 846 investment projects for US$40.81 billion.
